6 Months Down

As of yesterday we have officially been here 6 months. It has gone fast. I thought I would take a moment to thank those of you who helped us successfully move 6 months ago. It was a whirlwind of a move and I don't think we properly said thank you to everyone who deserved it. Let's start off with the Mokry Family. Thank you Tiff for watching Ashlyn for us free of charge all day while the house was packed. It was a huge help and I don't think you will ever know how thankful I am that you were willing to entertain, feed, & care for Ashlyn. Chris, came straight from work to help us load the BIG furniture into storage. Thank you for your energy late into the evening! Thank you also goes out to David P. who also came to help us move the BIG pieces of furniture into storage. You have always been there for us, Dave, each move we make! Our sister-in-law, Eryn, came from Oklahoma to help us pack, prepare for the move, drove/rode with me all the way to California, and stayed a few days to help us unpack and set up the new house. Thank you Eryn from the bottom of my heart for all your support and help. That would have been a miserable drive without you! Brian's dad, Phil, also made the drive out to California with us. Phil and Brian took turns driving the Uhaul truck for 3 days. Thank you Phil for your time and energy as well! Kasie T., thank you for your unending support that came well before the move and is still something I lean on. Thank you for your wonderful friendship and hours of listening to me deal with this huge life changing experience! And last but definitely not least, I want to send a huge shout out to my parents, Noreen & Jim. You guys helped us pack until the wee hours of the night, move furniture & boxes into storage (until the wee hours of the night), helped us load the Uhaul, watched Ashlyn so that we could do all the above things, kept Ashlyn while we drove out here, then flew out here with her. You both stayed and tirelessly helped us set up house (which our house by the way was completely put together by the time you left; including all pictures and curtains were hung!). We cannot express out gratitude for all that you have done for us! To top it all off dad had to go back to the house in Austin and finish cleaning out the garage and patching holes (from pictures) to get the house ready for the renters. We would not have been able to do this without you guys! This whole move would have been horrible without the help of any of these people. Thank you is not enough for everything that everyone helped us do in a matter of 4 days. We love you all and miss you terribly!
